Growing up an athlete, Kate pushed her body to its limits until her numerous injuries led her to discover yoga as a way to heal and recover. After a diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis in 2012, Kate turned to yoga more seriously and started viewing it as longevity practice instead of a way to stretch in between workouts and runs.
Kate's classes are heavily influenced by anatomical alignment and engagement principles in part due to her 8 years as a personal trainer and functional movement specialist prior to teaching yoga full time. She is very passionate about making yoga accessible to every body regardless of physical limitation or injury. She now has over 18 years experience in the health and wellness world and her desire is to make movement accessible to all.
